Medicare Part D can be confusing for anyone. Because every individual is different, with different prescription drug needs, it might be helpful to speak with a trusted source – such as a community pharmacist – about your particular situation. 

Some of the basics about Part D:

What is Medicare Part D?
Medicare Part D is the short name for Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage. Medicare Part D is an optional prescription drug coverage program available to everyone with Medicare.

Who is eligible for Medicare Part D?
Anyone who is enrolled in Medicare Part A or Part B is eligible to enroll for Part D drug coverage.
